I’m Not A One Hit Wonder!

Hey guys!

Yesterday I found out that my sports comedy ‘Bricks of Glory’ made the Quarter Finals of the Screencraft Comedy Screenplay Contest! Yayyy!

This is really encouraging for me because it means that I’m not a one hit wonder with ‘Log’, my most successful screenplay. Now I have TWO scripts that have won awards! Well, it’s sort of an award.

The Semi Finalists are announced on July 7th. Fingers crossed that Bricks makes it to the next round. You can read the full list of Quarter Finalists here:

Big thanks to my Patrons on Patreon who help support my dreams with monthly pledges which help cover things like contest submission fees.

Alison began her career as a sound engineer and editor. She then went on to build and run her own film studio. In 2010, Alison turned her focus to directing her own films.

Undeterred by the old adage, “Never work with children or animals,” Alison created a franchise of movies featuring children and animals. Her films have garnered a following of enthusiastic fans from all over the world and are available on iTunes, Amazon, ShortsHD, Vimeo on Demand and VHX through her distributor IndieCan Entertainment.

Alison’s credits include “Jake & Jasper: A Ferret Tale” , “The Magic Ferret,” which starred Jacob Tremblay in his first leading role, “Santa’s Little Ferrets” and “Dude, Where’s My Ferret?” featuring Mike Smith from The Trailer Park Boys.

Her screenplays range from family fare to gruesome horror comedy, thrillers to broad sports comedy. Most recently, her horror comedy screenplay Log has done well in several large screenwriting competitions, and a concept trailer is in the works to approach potential buyers at AFM.
