My Patreon Campaign Launches Today!

So today I’ve gone public with my Patreon campaign!

For those who don’t know what Patreon is, it’s similar to crowdfunding sites like IndieGoGo and Kickstarter, except instead of donating a one-time amount for a specific project, you are pledging a monthly amount to support the creative artists you love on an on-going basis.

Sounded crazy to me at first, but there’s TONS of writers on Patreon who are actually making a living this way!

If my Patreon campaign is successful, it would allow me to devote 100% of my time to screenwriting. My ultimate goal is to write and direct my first feature film, which is why I’ve been dedicated to writing as much as possible.

Please check out my Patreon page, where for as little as $1 a month, you can become my Patron and reap amazing rewards in addition to joining me on my journey to directing my first feature film!

Alison Parker is an award-winning Canadian film director and screenwriter living in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Alison began her career as a sound engineer and editor. She then went on to build and run her own film studio. In 2010, Alison turned her focus to directing her own films.

Undeterred by the old adage, “Never work with children or animals,” Alison created a franchise of movies featuring children and animals. Her films have garnered a following of enthusiastic fans from all over the world and are available on iTunes, Amazon, ShortsHD, Vimeo on Demand and VHX through her distributor IndieCan Entertainment.

Alison’s credits include “Jake & Jasper: A Ferret Tale” , “The Magic Ferret,” which starred Jacob Tremblay in his first leading role, “Santa’s Little Ferrets” and “Dude, Where’s My Ferret?” featuring Mike Smith from The Trailer Park Boys.

Her screenplays range from family fare to gruesome horror comedy, thrillers to broad sports comedy. Most recently, her horror comedy screenplay Log has done well in several large screenwriting competitions, and a concept trailer is in the works to approach potential buyers at AFM.
